Learning Links Reading For Life Program 

Penrith RSL Club has signed on as the Major Sponsor of the 2018 Reading for Life program in the Penrith area. The program takes local volunteers and pairs them with a primary school student for one hour a week during Term 1 of school. Volunteer’s help students improve their reading skills and give them an opportunity develop the basic skills that they require to succeed in their education.

“So many kids struggle with basic reading skills and end up falling behind in later years because they slipped through the cracks in their early education. This program aims to help these kids catch up with their peers and give them the skills they will need for later in life.”
